Well, we have read several books by Lockhaven at this point.
He's a good friend of the show.
We actually just re-released our very first episode about The Conjuring of Zoth Avarex from a couple of years ago.
Thank you.
And I have remembered that I was going to start a social media campaign to harass him into writing a zombie book.
I saw that in the transcript
when I was posting the blog post
about the re-released
episode.
I forgot to harass him, but that is still a good idea.
I
think that he would do a really good job at writing a zombie apocalypse book.
Yes, absolutely.
For all of the reasons I stated in that original episode, and also because every time we read a new book by Lockhaven, I think my very first comment is, approach to interpersonal relationships between characters is so good.
It is definitely a strength of his, for sure.
I think that's always the first thing that I latch onto in one of his novels is, It tends to be, well, I also am a character reader, so maybe I'm a little bit biased towards this in general.
But in this book, we get the relationship between our main character and his wife, Kyrian and Akali.
And it's just so thoughtful and complex and well done.
It's really all I'm going to say in the non-spoiler section.
I like...
This is going to sound a little odd, but I like how they struggle with their relationship with each other.
Oh, yeah.
This book starts and they are not in a good place.
Yeah.
And I think that Lockhaven... as you say, has a really good skill in bringing that complexity and emotional depth to the relationship.
