#282- Can I Have POCD And Be Into Lolicon Anime?

So, uh, this comes from Anne.

So Anne said, "I was diagnosed with POCD," so pedophile OCD, "but I fear my therapist got it wrong because I still like lolicon anime content.

I'm not sure whether I should be avoiding it or not, if they got my diagnosis wrong or not, or what I sh- or what to do, uh, to be treated.

What shou- what should I think about this?" That's the extent of their question.

So the, the problem with the extent of their question is it leaves me with so many [laughs] questions, so many extra questions.

I also recognize I complain about questions that are way too long and there's too much information.

What have we learned? Kevin likes to complain.

But I think y'all knew that by now.

Um, so, so it's consolidated.

It's concise.

It's, uh, but it's missing some details, so I'm gonna have to make some stuff up.

So when I got this question, I was like, "Okay, POCD, certainly talked about that before.

We know how to handle that, right? We know how to talk about that sort of stuff." But then I went, "Well, I don't know what lolicon anime is." Now, some of you out there are, like, giggling, um, because you know what it is.

So I had to Google it.

Now, when I Googled lolicon anime, I got a big warning that popped up that said, "Warning, sexually explicit, uh, uh, sexually explicit, um, images and content is, uh, is illegal, and, uh, you can get into a whole bunch of trouble by, um, continuing this search." I went, "Huh, that's weird." And then I added, "What is lolicon anime?" 'Cause I need to know.

I'm sorry, I don't, I don't personally watch a ton of anime, and by a ton of anime, I don't watch anime.

Um, and it's not because I think it's bad.

It's just I never grew up watching it, so it never really captured my imagination.

Some of my friends did, and they're into it.

Awesome.
