Biggest Predictions of Burn of the Everflame

Let's start with our very first one.

All the way back in Spark, chapter one, we get the first prophecy from Yersel.

Quote, "When forgotten blood on heart stone falls, then shall the chains be broke.

Life for life old debt requires, or eternal be his yoke." So let's go through this.

When forgotten blood on heart stone falls, then shall the chains be broke.

This is entirely referring to Diem's blood, the forgotten blood, falling on the heart stone and breaking Ophiuchi's chains.

All of this happens at the end of Glow of the Everflame with Ophiuchi breaking out of the prison on Coriel when Diem bleeds on the heart stone, and, you know, fails coronation class, I guess.

Now, this second part, though, life for life old debt requires, or eternal be his yoke.

We don't actually know what this is referring to yet, but it does have us worried about Diem making it out of this series alive with that life for life wording.

Even in the prologue of Spark, there is mention of how if things had changed with the turn of events, so many lives would've been saved rather than ended and buried in Amarian soil.

Hmm.

We've speculated a lot during our deep dive coverage, which, pause if you haven't listened to all of our deep dive episodes, boy, oh boy, do I have stuff for you this month.

We have talked so much about this life for a life and how a lot of things are hinting to actually Diem being one of the lives and Ophiuchi being the other.

I could also see Arley being, I'll call it Diem's place, especially if it needs to be a person of the Everflame's side.

We assume strongly, so much so that it's basically canon in our heads, that Arley is a descendant of the red-haired man who is always depicted with the Everflame, given his and hers red hair.

Now, if this life for a life is Diem, I don't think Diem will die, or at least stay dead.

She'll be alive-live by the end-end.

[laughs]We're also wondering if this Forgotten blood has a double meaning.

Diem, in Heat, asks Yrsel if the Forgotten blood on the heartstone means her father is the Forgotten, and Yrsel says, quote, "Words in prophecies can have many meanings, some quite obvious, some less so." Which, what a response to that question.

So this has us wondering if the Forgotten is actually referring to this man with this red hair under the Everflame tree, i- in addition to Ophiuchi.

We know that almost all aspects of mortal religion, with the exception of the Everflame, have been lost.

So what if he, this red-haired man, is the Forgotten, and then Diem is the daughter of the Forgottens, the both Forgottens on both sides, mortal and Everflame descendant and Omnos?
