Book Launch Day: The Six-Figure Personal Brand Is Here

And the thing that I keep coming back to is 12 months ago, I'm recording this podcast episode on July 31st.

12 months ago, July 31st, 2025, I didn't even know I was going to write a book over the next 12 months, let alone release it to the public.

So if you're listening to this and you're like, "A book has been on my radar," or maybe it's a, a different dream.

Maybe you wanna be a speaker or, um, I don't know, start a podcast.

Whatever it is, those things are available to you right now.

You just have to start.

So let this be the proof, okay? Because honestly, it was l- last August when I got connected to the team at selfpublishing.com who set me on this journey of becoming an author, and I really, really dedicated myself to that process.

I have other episodes talking about the writing process.

Um, honestly, it wasn't-- It was definitely challenging, okay? Um, I knew that it was going to be hard.

I don't think I expected it to be as hard as it was.

Um, I know that there are people who self-publish books entirely on their own.

Um, I certainly could not be one of those people.

I really needed the team at Self-Publishing or any coach, 'cause I know there are lots of fabulous book coaches out there.

I really needed someone kind of walking me through the process as a first-time author, not just for the sake of like, you know, holding me accountable to writing the book, but also the thing that I simply cannot let go of is back when I started writing my very first outline, I knew that it wasn't quite it.

I outlined the, the entire book on, on how I thought it was going to come out to the world, and I remember showing it to my book coach and him just being really honest and saying that, you know, some of the content that I had picked out and some of the, um, you know, through lines that I was trying to create just wouldn't make for an easy read.

And so I had to go back to the drawing board after like my very first coaching call, which could be a little bit, um, what's the word? Why is the word escaping me? It could be a little bit discouraging.

Honestly, I've been firing on all cylinders this week.

No wonder I have no more words left.

So it could've been a little bit discouraging to like go back and, and write that second outline, but I wanna be really clear.

I spent a shit ton of money on going through this self-publishing program, writing this book, the time, working with an editor.

After this, I'm off to a photo shoot to be able to capture content of the book so I have it for launch day.

This is not an inexpensive initiative, and so I really wanted to make sure that I had all of the things that I needed ready to go.

Um, and, and, you know, the book really had to be as good as possible to make this all worth it.

So doing that second outline was obviously pretty important to making the book come to life.

So there was that second outline and then the rough draft.
