The first category is boring stuff, trail layout.
So this is going to be the trail layout, the cutoff, and just the basic information for the race.
So Lisa, go ahead and kick us off with the boring stuff for the Yeti 100 miler.
All right, so Yeti 100 is a rails to trails race.
So those are basically used to be railroad track.
It's now a trail.
Unfortunately, this year is the second year in a row where we have not gotten to do the OG, the original course.
In 2024, they were devastated by Hurricane Helene, which horrible flooding took out a lot of the trestles that you have to run over.
So this race is actually supposed to start up top of a mountain called White Top.
And you actually run down it.
A lot of people PR their half marathons.
So we did not get to do that start.
So this year we did three, like 32, 33 mile out and backs.
Next year is supposed to be back to the original course.
So Fingers crossed everything's up and running and we can do the original out and back.
It is a 30 hour cut off, which those 100 milers always give me a bit of anxiety because this is now my second, only second sub 30 hour 100 miler.
And Justin and I have one more in December.
Let's do it.
Yeah, the terrain is mostly like crushed.
It's like a crushed charcoal almost.
And I learned very quickly that that crushed charcoal is very sharp if you happen to fall on it.
Let's just say I was voted best blood during the race.
And then you also go over these really beautiful train trestle bridges and you're in, you're in Virginia.
And it's beautiful.
