Postgame Reactions: Dawgs Dominate No. 6 Auburn (5-7-26)

Oh, I tell you what, you're going to beat anybody in the country with that.

If you score four runs and give Tomas Valenka's a four-run lead in the first inning, you're going to beat anybody because then all of a sudden, I mean, he was dealing tonight.

His stuff was good.

His fastball was at 97, 98.

The slider was working.

So, yeah, I mean, you're going to beat anybody.

And, man, Robbie, hey, you look back at that first inning, you end up scoring four runs.

Bryce Chance is going to get the notability for the great hit.

But Blake Beavis runs out of ground ball.

And I mean, if you're teaching a 12 year old at home, run out everything.

He runs out the ground ball.

You end up scoring four runs because of it.

After two guys got carved up.

Yeah, got carved up.

Marciano, by the way, they're winning.

a lot of the games with him pitching because he has just been, I mean, it is not overpowering.

It's 88, 90, whatever from the left side.

That's what he looked like to those first two batters.

But 0-2 count to Beavis, I thought it was a little bit on the, I think it was, was it third base or second? Shortstop.

Shortstop.

Didn't get it out quick enough, but Beavis was getting it down the line, and that was an 0-2 pitch.

And we've talked about the two-strike approach, how it's got to be better.

And if you go back and look at that after Chance hit it out, the first guy that Brian O'Connor looked at was Blake Beavis and pointed at him and said, that's you.

He started that whole thing.

They had five straight reach.
