174. Why The Rings of Power is AWESOME (a tongue-in-cheek retrospective)

Okay! Guys, The Rings of Power, probably the best show I've seen in years.

And I wanted to just go back to some of the stats from the show that I think indicate its ascendancy in the pantheon of television shows.

And that is, it got an 83% on Rotten Tomatoes.

I don't know if any show has ever gotten more than an 83%.

That's like a B. That's really good.

Pretty top tier.

I've never gotten higher than that in school, so that's top tier.

On Metacritic, it got a 71%.

mean that's a little bit lower but it's still super high i mean has anything gotten better than the 71 i think i think peter jackson's films probably had like a 65 or something like that

it's they're they're critics right so that's it's they're gonna yeah they have to

they have to find all the things a little bit i mean if you go there i'm sure that the uh uh the the viewership numbers are gonna be far higher for that they're probably gonna give it far better ratings if you if you go to metacritic i

mean i doubt the bible would get an 80 on metacritic so

Well, they sampled it.

That was the word that Amazon used.

They sampled it, but Who doesn't like a good sample? Attention spans are low these

days.

Samples are great.

And I'm sure of those 25 million people, many finished it.
