They, they're both, uh, e- effectively, through the media reporting around it, gone public with their shortlists of candidates.

And the common denominator, and there's only one of the two clubs, is Jamie Graham of the Fremantle Dockers assistant coaching ranks.

He's all in on becoming a senior coach, and his CV looks as good as anyone's in that space when it's all said and done.

Been with, uh, Justin Longmuir now for some time, having previously been with Adam Simpson at, at West Coast.

He's actually coached senior matches of football at both those clubs as well, uh, when, uh, Adam Simpson required some time off, and so too in the COVID period of Justin Longmuir.

Whether he gets, uh, you know, the, the, the option of actually saying no or to one of these offers, who knows? Because they're now down, down to those last stages.

But I think it's interesting from an Essendon perspective to have someone of that clout committing to the final stages because there has been the narrative, and I've probably driven it as much as anyone, that this will be an Essendon, um, feel to the outcome of it, and there still is that, given you've got Dean Solomon, who, who every Welsh did want to be part of it but has probably lost that chance on the back of his record as interim coach.

You've got James Hird as, as well, and you've got Murray Davis as well in part of all of that.

So that's the play out, and we know, and had known this time last week, that the Carlton, um, shortlist was, was involving Corey Enright, also Jamie Graham, James Kelly, and we expect Josh Fraser to, to at some stage be part of the official conversations behind the scenes.

Um, interest in clearly the Essendon one, just, uh, how they go and if it is gonna be still a, a James Hird, uh, maybe with a Dean Solomon and somehow Mark McVeigh in there as well, which has been floated as a potential.

Yeah, well, and speaking to Luke Hodge last night, he was speaking about Murray Davis and just what he's been able to do as sort of the right-hand man at Brisbane through a complete rebuild to take them to higher success.

When you've got sort of untried coaches effectively lining up, uh, you've got a, a big decision to make.

And I just wonder if it's, if Jamie Graham's slightly ahead, do they move quicker on that so that Essendon don't have the opportunity?
