I have 2 days off! My cottage also gets invaded by thousands of wasps - another wild weekend!
Well, the thing is, if the bones know the mic, you can see Fosse's cute face if you're watching with us.
But if you're an audio listener, you're just going to get this weird chewing noise in the background.
And I feel like chewing noises from animals isn't gross, but chewing noises from humans is absolutely vile.
Anyway let's get into today's episode because if you couldn't tell we've gone for a little bit more of a relaxed vibe here on today's episode.
I mean normally we are quite a relaxed vibe anyway but we're even more so because Fosse is here and because I've just come back from my two day holiday.
So for some context, so my boyfriend and I, we both absolutely love roller coasters.
So we thought, you know what? We have been wanting to go to Alton Towers for ages now.
partly because, if you didn't know, little fun fact, my grandparents, they used to live in Derbyshire, which was very near Staffordshire, which is very near Alton Towers.
So every single summer when we'll go and see them in Derbyshire, we would go to the theme park.
So I've literally been going to this theme park since I was a little kid really like honestly like I would go there and I'd go it was before CBeebiesland that's how old old it was it was the squirrel nutty ride if anybody can remember that so that was like a little kid's ride anyway I promise if you've not been to the park before don't worry I won't be badgering on about all the different rides and all that kind of stuff you might be like Esme this is not a theme park I'm not I haven't signed up for a theme park podcast don't worry I actually do have some very funny stories from our trip away so and some where I have maybe mildly embarrassed myself So little top tip though, if you do want to go to a UK theme park, I have finessed the best time to go, the best time to go.
So beginning of the year, all the theme park really keen people, they've been like having the whole winter of not being able to go to a theme park, because in the UK our theme parks basically close from November till March.
Basically it's a bit like the eventing season, when it's rainy and horrible and we're outside, they're all closed.
So a lot of people get super excited, in march because all the theme parks open and the keynotes are all there for like day one opening and it's always like a bit busier because everyone's like you know been missing out their their thrill ride joy from theme parks so um so yeah i was like no let's not go spring because everybody will be it'll be busy then and then won't be don't go summer Because even if it's not school holidays, so many schools go to theme parks on like school trips.
