On to sub-Saharan Africa, Archie, let me drag you, um, 'cause that's the topic of today's Upstream Scouting podcast.

Not, as you just corrected me, uh, not in the southern Kwanza Basin, but in the Benguela I think.

Uh, first of all, isn't this block supposed to be under negotiation? Why would Sonangol go ahead and drill it early, and what are they even appraising?

So as Patrick said, it is in the Benguela Basin, not the southern Kwanza, and it's, yeah, just offshore, but it is super deep water.

So I think it, the well was actually drilled at, I think, 1,390 meters water depth, so it was, yeah, super deep water.

So yeah, basically the Katambi-2 was appraising BP's, uh, Katambi-1 well, which was drilled, I can't actually remember off the top of my head, but they relinquished the block back in 2017, so it's gonna be prior to that.

But let me just give you a little over- um, uh, a little roundup of the well, sorry.

It was a, a, obviously, I would say discovery, but it's an appraisal well, so it did successfully, um, prove up what, um, BP did discover.

So they did actually test the well as well, which flowed 41 million cubic feet a day, plus 1,160 barrels of condensate.

But Sonangol did say if it was unconstrained, it could flow up to 117 million cubic feet a day.

So that has just proved up what BP did, I would say, I'm gonna say 10 years ago, but I don't know off the top of my head.
