I'm Assistant Managing Editor Tiara Oliver and this week Ken is back, our Editor-in-Chief.

We've both had a few events and traveling and things going on, but how have you been?

There's a lot going on and there's a lot happening, so I'm glad to be back here on embedded insiders it is uh much more relaxing uh to be here but yeah we've both been out on the road um uh you've been closer to home than i uh at uh microchip masters right

yeah i went there i guess it was maybe two weeks ago or so i'm not sure but close enough

but yeah that was their the first year of them having, you know, media and analysts, I had no idea that this event was going on for like 26 years, but pretty

I assume most people aren't that familiar with it because they haven't had media there before.

For, you know, for media and analysts, I think our attendance there was probably different from, um, everyone else.

But I mean, I loved being able to go into the room and see all the demos lined up.

The demos were very cool, like each had their own space and section and were so intricate and each had like about two to three, you know, engineers and people from Microchip to speak about it.

But, um, I think my favorite was the fact that we got to have like a real quiet and close sit down with Steve saying he himself, and I felt like it was a very, I don't know if vulnerable the right way, but he really dove into the evolution of microchip and, you know, their strategy to scale the company and.

kind of just all the phases that they've been through, not even just, you know, highlighting the, the peaks, but also talking about the lows and how they've tried to turn things around from, you know, from other times, but, you know, they're going, they've had like what he referred to as like microchip 3.0. And I think right now they're in microchip 4.0, which is

But basically he just talked about like the trends and challenges of today and, what microchips core pillars are which are you know the networking and connectivity compute um power ai at the edge um i think those were the most and of course like secure product security and trust but um i took a lot of notes on that i thought it was just really beneficial and really cool to sit down up with the ceo

I can't remember if we talked about it on the podcast or not, but back at Embedded World, I sat down with some of the folks from Microchip and they were talking about those same kinds of issues back at the beginning of the year and how they were sort of turning in a new direction.

You know, the company had been in their... sort of estimation and a little bit of a struggle period.
