Who's earnest? As I ask myself the question, Ray, what have you been up to in the world of theatre lately? Well, I feel like I've interviewed the world and his wife recently, with one episode after another.

Outside of interviews for the podcast, though, I had a great chat with my fellow directors at Open Door Theatre, and we discussed our plans for the remainder of the year and 2027.

There's an exciting new musical in the pipeline next year, which I've put my name down to direct, so do keep an ear out for future mentions of that.

We're also bringing Space Hamlet to London in October after a successful debut in Norwich last year.

I'd invite you to follow Open Door Theatre on social media, of course, where you can find out a little bit more details about that and the cast and whatnot.

Elsewhere this week, I went along to a special preview performance of The Turn of the Screw, which was a stage adaptation of the Henry James novel written specifically for the production team at Sheringham Little Theatre.

It was led by actors Rachel Cummins and Rose Quentin, who incidentally is the daughter of Caroline Quentin.

I gave the production a full review, which you can of course read on my website, eatpod.co.uk, but I enjoyed the unique setting of the show and the performances, although some of the execution of the promenade element could have perhaps done with some further attention.

overall though it's great to see this sort of invention alive and well on the theater scene that production continues until saturday the 11th of july if you're interested but enough about me and what about you guys what have you been up to lately any shows you've seen lately that have impressed you do get in touch to let me know as i'm always happy to hear from you
