People regularly offer me 20%, 30%, or even 50% equity in their business in exchange for free or discounted access to Drop Ship Lifestyle or one of my higher-level coaching programs. I always say no…

So first question that you, I guess, should think about and what I always think about is what do I actually need to know about somebody before I would ever consider becoming their business partner? And honestly, I would need to know a lot.

Mainly, I would need to know about your work ethic and honestly, just about how you are as a person.

Because I have had business partners in the past and these are people that I had known for years and years and years before we got into business together.

So why would I want equity in someone's business that I know from maybe a 15 minute Zoom call? How would I know what you're going to do with it? How would I know what is going on in your head? How would I know what things look like in three months when we're doing tens of thousands of dollars a month? How would I know what things would look like in six months when we're doing 100,000 plus a month? How would I know what things would look like three years from now when we're hopefully doing multiple seven figures a year? There is no way for me to know.

So why would I ever want that relationship with, you know, I'm sorry, but a stranger, right? Maybe, and I do hope from my trainings and from my content and my podcast and my YouTube, you feel like you have a good understanding of me, which is probably true because I do share a lot and I'm very open on these.

But again, if I know nothing about you, why would I want to enter in a relationship? It would basically be like getting engaged to somebody that I met online and had a 10 minute FaceTime call with, right? I would obviously never do that.

Let's just say for some reason, I neglected knowing that I needed all of that information about you.

And I just said, you know what? Let's go ahead and do this, right? Well, what if I do all the work? I have my team build your store.

How do I know that you're even going to do anything? How do I know that you're going to have the time commitment? How do I know that you are going to process orders correctly? I don't know anything about what you're going to do.

Basically, it means I'm wasting my time and it means I'm paying my team for their time on a project that, quite honestly, we would have been much better off doing ourselves.

And if I made these deals and accepted these offers time and time again every time people asked...

How would I feel owning literally parts of hundreds of businesses run by people that I've never worked with before? I'll tell you, I would be completely stressed out and would be the opposite of my goal in business, which is, as the company name says, the dropship lifestyle.

Having a lifestyle business that doesn't require a bunch of stress, where everything is streamlined, where I know predictably what I'm going to earn every month and what is happening in my businesses.
