We were expecting the postponement, John, because of the Matala trial and how these intertwined is because in the Matala trial, I'm not sure if you recall, but there is a trial within a trial regarding the evidence, the admissibility of evidence.

This evidence includes weapons that were used in the attempted murders in that trial.

This case, the same weapons are alleged to have been used in the murders in this case.

So because that trial has not been concluded, this case, you know, it can't go forward until a decision has been made on whether those weapons are admitted into evidence.

The weapons in the car was used specifically in the matter of Aman Swart, that's the car.

But the weapons were linked to the cases that involve now Katisa Mwalefe and the same accused, two of them at least, Diakho Mabusele as well as have been accused in the trial they are also standing trial in this matter so the same prosecutors are involved in the trial they are involved in this trial the same advocates lawyers are involved in both trials so before the trial post the trial that is The judge had made a ruling that that trial, because it's already started, has to proceed until the end before this matter can proceed.

So today when we went to court, we were expecting the matter to be postponed.

It's been agreed that it will proceed in the third term of next year on the 19th of July.

Hopefully by then the trial, the Matala trial will have been concluded because it started in July and it's been very slow, John.

We've only had a few witnesses and we are still dealing with the issue of a trial within a trial.

And keep in mind that we are expecting Matlala himself to challenge the evidence against him.

So we will be sitting with another trial within a trial after this first one is concluded.

They've adjusted his bail conditions in the sense that he had to report to police station three times a week, but they said he can report anywhere within South Africa after making arrangements with the NPA.
