Send us Fan Mail "Nothing wrong with hitting singles and doubles, I was looking for a home run - and that's what did me in." It's not everyday you…
Jaden SterlingGuestI wouldn't say I'm the most versed in real estate out there, but I could imagine that from a development perspective to not really know what all entails of it, that's a very interesting place to be.
And I can relate to that so much because I feel like for me and I'll be very transparent.
And for some people who have been following me for a while or who we've just spoken offline, they know that, you know, when I first got into podcasting, When I first really started this, I didn't necessarily have like a mentor, so to speak, or somebody to look towards.
I just knew I wanted to brand myself on a pandemic where I couldn't find a job.
But I would say so I came into this like thinking, OK, tomorrow, like you're you're pretty good at public speaking.
You're just going to go viral and numbers will hit and everybody's going to support you and you'll be good.
It's about, well, one, why am I doing this? Why am I here? What do I want to do, honestly, so to speak? And two, am I really doing this for numbers? Am I doing this to be on the clickbait side of things? Am I doing this just to have people, just to have numbers and thousands of likes and shares and everything like that? Or am I really doing this to impact, to tell stories, to listen to people, to connect others? And that was when I really started to be intentional about where I wanted to be.
The triples and the home runs and the grand slams, they will come exactly when they're needed.
And, you know, if you just come in there swinging for the fences, you're going to continue to strike out.
And I hope my my non-baseball people are following me in some capacity or some regard.
But I say all of that to say that, as you said, stay in your lane, run your own race.
