Last year when I did this podcast in November, uh, it was only five poaching mistakes, and one thing I've learned is this, I'm calling it mistake number zero because it all starts with this, and that is your position.
So if you start too close to the doubles alley when you're trying to poach, you either have to leave really early, which means you can't disguise your poach and your opponent is going to see you leave early, and they're going to be... have plenty of time to set up and redirect down the line, or you end up leaving too late and you can't get there in time.
So there's just no way to get the timing of your poach correct if you start too close to the doubles alley.
So I did a lesson on this, um, on Instagram recently with Christian Harrison as the example, and he's starting closer to that center service line than he is the singles line.
Uh, at the end, I'm going to give you some resources to, um, learn more about all this and, and get some visuals as well where I break down more points, but you can find a lot of this content on Instagram that we have posted recently.
