Suresh SrinivasGuestShubhangi DuaHostI was recently listening to this other podcast, in fact, and I realized that, you know, a lot of people are right.
So the definition of context is continuing to shift and Is there something that you'd like to tell us about what are we looking forward to now? What is the conversation going to be at BDL? And what's essentially coming for us?

The definition of context is changing because we are shifting from a world that was built for human beings to the world where AI agents are going to consume this data.

So when we started open metadata initially, we knew that people did not understand their data really well, what its quality is, what are the requirements, security and compliance requirements, That's where majority of problems were coming when people were using the data.

That's where our project is called Open Metadata that gives you complete context of end-to-end metadata about your data ecosystem within your organization.

Now, once people understood what data is, There were domain experts that brought the business understanding, business meaning, the business definitions.

How to do it, which data to use, how to present the report, what definition to use.

It also doesn't know the organizational preferences, the organizational corrections that are made.

Context for people was just metadata, but context for AI requires business meaning and also memory of all the previous decisions and the learnings that the organization has had.
