Dolphins Fall Short Against Cincinnati1:00 – 4:26

1:00

So, the final score doesn't look bad for this game.

1:05

So, if you didn't watch the game, you saw the final score, you said, oh, man.

1:09

That's not bad.

1:10

Miami kept it close and you would feel pretty good about it.

1:12

If you watch the game, you understand that it was in fact not that close.

1:16

This game got a hand pretty early and Miami just once again wasn't particularly good in the first half.

1:23

I will say much better in the second half this week than we were any other week.

1:27

This was a matchup that was a good litmus test for the team.

1:32

Uganda Big is a team that is overall a pretty good team.

1:35

I think Cincinnati is a bubble playoff team.

1:37

I think they'll finish second in their division, probably somewhere in that 9-8, 10-7 kind of range.

1:43

Maybe make the playoffs, can kind of be dangerous, but there's probably something missing there.

1:48

We did not know if they would get both their receivers back.

1:51

And they did, which is annoying.

1:53

We obviously want people to be healthy, but we don't want to play T. Higgins and Jamar Chase, and we had to.

1:59

So what happened was this was a test for our defense primarily, or it was supposed to be.

2:05

It became a test for offense.

2:06

Are you going against the two best tandem receivers in the league with the great quarterback? And we did not pass the test.

2:15

Like ultimately, Cincinnati probably could have scored more points.

2:19

They kind of pulled their punches after the third quarter, but they moved the ball up down the field at will.

2:25

Joe Burrow looked as good as he's looked at any point in the year.

2:29

We tried to figure out if we can bottle up that defensive pressure we got last week and bring it to this week.

2:34

We did not.

2:35

Joe Burrow did not get sacked in this game.

2:37

So that was the thing.
