That's the most visible one and I think is the one that most people can resonate because it's one of the certain topics or products or ecosystems that are getting more extractive while they grow.

As products mature, extraction becomes a mechanism in the business model or in the value proposition.

So that's where I started noticing that not only affect the consumers, the users of those products, but also who builds those products get affected in terms of who gets motivated to do what.

Not only the abandoning Facebook because I couldn't see my friends, that's just the visible example of what I signed up for, that is my friends.

i think it's a normal or it has become quite a playbook in product in terms of the more mature the company is the core idea might start breaking because no one is protecting that core idea.

If you don't understand why users are coming, meaning you're making the product more attractive, more visibly, interactions are working well, the product is delivering, but if you leave the meaning pillars without being filled, the notion or the connection with the user, with the customer start breaking, which means that your long-term strategic advantage is starting to get holes in it.

And then if you don't care or protect what matters, then you're going to end up with products or services or experiences or teams that are worthless in terms of what their purpose is.

So it's really helpful framing as far as like how products have been changing for the worse.

So what are you going to take us through today, which is going to help us understand whether our products have meaning and whether they're worth building?

So just to clarify, I'm not sounding the alarm in terms of like, this is shit.

What I'm trying to create the tools is, is we have got used to attention-driven playbooks, meaning we're used to the fakeness of engagement.

We are used to saying the right thing in order to allow people to discover us.

So by understanding why actually are we creating that value, why like the why's on that system, we can create a relationship that is based on depth rather than the superficial short term thinking that it's proliferating out there and more with AI and by coding is starting to be a big thing.
