Part three, and the last episode of Richard Rodgers and Jazz.

Going through my various jazz fake books, I found 26 Richard Rodgers tunes.

And there's a great book by musicologist and jazz musician, Ted Gioia, called The Jazz Standards, where he documents 267 tunes that he considers to be the most important ones in the jazz repertoire.

Of those, I counted 12 by Richard Rodgers.

And for this episode, I explore some of those 12, as well as a couple others, play a version of them, and summarize some of Ted Gioia's descriptions of those tunes.
