What if the biggest problem with employee benefits isn't a lack of options, but too many disconnected solutions? In Episode 37 of Digital Health Heavyweights, Norm Volsky sits down with Andrew Scott…
Norm VolskyHostWell, I think for me, and I would trust that there's a lot of individuals like me, is that, I mean, this is very personal.
And really quickly to kind of like what actually got me into just the health field in general is, and I share this story with a lot of passion because I was very close to my grandpa.
And at the time, like seven-year-old, we don't have the reasoning as to why behind things.
But as I got older, I realized, well, wait a minute, he actually succumbed to complications with diabetes.
And I come further is to say, well, wait a minute, if we want to create solutions and we want to address this problem, where are most people typically at? So as I was going through my graduate work and my doctoral work, it's at the employers.
I mean, that's, so that was ultimately like, gosh, if I could really make it personal, but address it to help, you know, the masses.
And the thing is, is my core ethos has always been, or my purpose has been, how do we empower individuals to take control of their own health and wellbeing? You know, and the million dollar thing is, is like, there's systems around people.
But the challenge is, is those systems can either make things easier to address your health, Or in some cases, sometimes it can make it unnecessarily hard.
So that's kind of my why am I here today is I want to help try and solve that problem.
