What if the biggest thing standing between you and your next opportunity isn't your expertise but whether the right people can actually see it? In this episode, we sit down with **Karen Yankovich**…
Karen YankovichGuestAmosHostOkay.
Thanks for that.
So, uh, let's talk, go to strategy.
So you combine a marketing strategy with your work as a recue master.
How did this towards influence the way you help people?

Well, you know, listen, as much as I'd love to say, I sit on the beach and business comes to me there.

You have, we have to be marketing our businesses and ourselves, right? Like there's, I talk a lot about magnetic marketing and I want your marketing to be magnetic.

I don't want you out there spending a hundred, you know, connecting with a hundred people and hoping one of them, you know, sticks.

But at the same time, you know, you need to think about what your marketing is, right? So, you know, you can do one piece of content and get so much out of it instead of having like a million pieces of content, you know, do a video and then and then transcribe the video and put it on your website as a blog and then pull some shorts out of it and put some of those shorts on TikTok and put some of those shorts on Instagram and, you know, pull different things out of it.

Even just like this episode, there's probably, you know, a hundred different pieces of content that can get pulled out of one podcast episode.

So, so creating a marketing plan around everything you do, as opposed to doing a hundred more things, I think is a, is a smarter way to do it and a faster way to build influence and income.

So, you know, so we can't, you know, when I, when I work with my clients, I'm not a business coach.

Like I don't say, okay, you know, you paid $10, you charge $20, it's $10 profit.

Like I don't really do that kind of work, but I do do the marketing work, right? How many, how many people have you built your email list up to? What is your Lead magnet.

Like, I think we do need to have behind all of this work that we're doing on LinkedIn and anywhere else.

And, and think like a real business owner and be building the things that build, that bring profit to our business.

And that's what I did before social media was a thing, and it's still what I'm doing now.

I think that timeless business practices, one of which is marketing, is a big part of our success.

It's the, what do you want to happen with that piece of content? And is that happening? And if not, what do we need to do so that it does happen? The marketing piece isn't just putting a lot of content out there.
Okay.
Thanks for that.
