If you're not someone who thinks they're going to have children, maybe you're planning to have a dog or you have one dog and you're going to move to two dogs.
Today, we're going to talk about how to financially plan once you have kids or dogs or other pets on the way.
Most people sometimes can feel behind when it comes to having a child on the way.
or maybe not knowing financially how they're supposed to handle everything.
I don't have a child.
However, I can relate to the fact of having one dog and thinking, okay, can we fit two dogs into the budget and things like that.
So just know that if you are nervous about the financial responsibility of a child or a pet, that you're not alone and many people feel this way.
Yeah, definitely.
There's a lot.
And if you are expecting a child, especially if it's your first child, there's a lot to go and do that no one's giving you this blueprint to go and do.
So we're going to give you kind of a couple of punch list items to make sure that you are taking care of it so you don't forget about it.
The first thing that you should make sure that you're thinking about is is health insurance coverage.
One, making sure that you have the right health insurance coverage to make sure that you're taking care of you as you're going through your pregnancy.
And then as well as, you know, once you're having the baby, making sure that You get that baby put onto your health insurance plan.
So then the hospitalization costs are covered.
At least part of them are covered.
And you have a certain time period to actually do that and have your child added to your health insurance policy.
There's a certain day, I think it might vary by insurance company.
So make sure you check with your health insurance on that one.
You can be setting aside money to be able to pay for medical expenses, especially like once you have a baby, you're gonna be taking that baby to the doctor's office a good amount in their first year of life.
So it's important that you could, you know, save aside some money for that.
