Story Land

So we went up there and we did a family vacay with Grammy and Grampy.

And we went to Storyland as well as Santa's Village, which are really great.

Anastasia loved it.

She had a great time.

But like it's in between, right? So you're talking like a two hour drive, an hour and a half drive, 45 minute drive.

And so if you create that destination, like you're two hours from drive-in, like just like Blue Ridge, like you're two hours from drive-in, you've got different state parks or you've got different attractions that are around you like Storyland up in, you know, like if you look up north, you've got Storyland.

A lot of people try to buy off of Storyland.

Because so many travelers go to Storyland.

So drive-to markets like your national parks, more people are trying to do the RV trips and trying to hit every national park and every state park.

So having that... having um your amenities like there's some basic ones that you need right with the fire pits and the you know the stuff but i think like people are getting into the pickleball courts or micro resorts if if if you're looking at buyouts and stuff like that too you're looking at pickleball courts you're looking at hot tubs, you're looking at saunas, you're looking at pools, you're looking at these things to really make this stay worth not having to leave.

There you go.

So that's where you stay a lot of times if you're going to Storyland or Santa's Village.

Mini Golf Prisco Pine Grove.

It's in Bridgewater, Mass.

Oregon's Wonderland in San Antonio, Texas.

And Storyland in Glen, New Hampshire.

Nice.

Idlewild's not even to be seen on there now.

Story Land.

There's a lot of parks in the, in, you know, New England that I would-

Yeah

That Six Flags, the theming and the immersion is just not where Disney is.

So when we went, we went to Six Flags Gridscape, but this would go for any amusement park other than Storyland, probably, if you know, you know.

But we went into Six Flags and they had this little area called Ghost Town.

OK, let's let's run through Ghost Town.

But in general, yeah, the theming...

And they're just not going to have as good of merch.

I mean, I remember going to Storyland, and I would always buy a stuffed animal, but it was just a random toy store, basically.

I wonder if Storyland holds up.

We also wa- got to go tubing, [laughs] which was what I wanted to do.

I kept saying to my kids, I was like, "We're going to Story Land for you.

We're going tubing for me." The Saco River was low and slow, but it was also beautiful.

It was not cold.

Could not rec- [laughs] tubing on the Saco, quadruple ba-duple thumbs up.

I, I will do it again.

Lastly, we went to Story Land.

I was convinced by people emailing me.

We're going on one last little trip up to New Hampshire to a little old, little tiny kids amusement park.

Story time? Story land, yeah.

Story land, sorry.

And Santa's Village, so yeah.

I, once upon a time, went there.

Absolutely.

I do want to shout out Storyland, which is located near the east side of the White Mountain National Forest.

It goes back to the mid-50s.

That's a great theme park for wholesome entertainment.
