Todayyy I talk about the BTS concert I went to with my mom, I share some L's for the week and then go into the details of being present in the moment. The main topic I discuss is all about the fear of…
Today, the main topic is something I'm very excited to talk about because it is near and dear to my heart, as most things are that I talk about on this podcast.
We are... talking about the fear of falling back to square one in recovery.
I'm speaking on OCD recovery specifically, but I would imagine there are similar themes and feelings and fears and thoughts associated to all sorts of different recovery experiences.
programs, all different types of recovery journeys.
And maybe I'm way off base in that, but I think as humans, we actually do feel a lot more things in common than we think.
That's what we're talking about today.

I wanted to hopefully help squash some of those fears fears or at least shed some extra light onto those scary thoughts to make them a little bit less scary and daunting because we'll get into all of them later but you are not going to go back to square one because you've already learned stuff that's kind of what we're talking about but we're talking all but I'm going to go into a couple different aspects, a couple different reasons why we don't need to be scared of this and also to validate the fear of that because I know we don't need to be scared of it, but that's easier said than done.
And it's a very real fear because it is very scary to think about that when you've gone through really horrific times.
Maybe you've hurt people you've loved.
Maybe you've hurt yourself.
Maybe it's just all of the above and you really don't want to go back there because it was a scary place to be.
So, of course, we will feel scared to go back there and we will sometimes obsess or sometimes just live in fear of what if I go back to that and have those intrusive thoughts of what if I go back to square one.
So I'm going to talk about how to deal with those and.
