How do you stay open-minded in dating without settling for less than what you want? And what happens when someone treats you well, checks a lot of the important boxes, but something still feels… off?…
Jordanne ScullerGuestTalia KorenHostI am so excited to chat with you today about all things just dating and what we're going through right now.
And to kick it off, I just would love to hear from a therapist's point of view, what are you seeing across the board with your single clients this month? Yeah.

I would say something that I'm seeing across the board, which I'm finding so interesting and I actually love, love, love working with is My single clients are really craving connection.

I'm noticing that a lot of my clients are looking at other relationships around them and noticing maybe how unhappy some people are, maybe how people settle down.

for something that doesn't feel quite right for the idea of a relationship.

So I'm really loving how people are leaning in right now more to this idea of how can I really feel connected? What is it going to take for me to understand what I want in terms of connection? And really waiting for that to come.
Yeah, let's dig into that for a second because I think a lot of people can relate.
I have been really lucky that I have expanded my social circle here in Mountain View, which is very isolating in the suburbs.
And it does remind me of dating a lot because I'm like, oh, yeah, I should just keep texting this person just to make sure the connection stays alive.
So what are you seeing with your clients? Where are they struggling most with their connections? Is it because things look bleak or what is it?

I'm a year into a big move myself and those friendships are really, really hard to maintain and came up with at first.
