Welcome to the first episode of Cruising with the Bear! Jeremy shares how he first got into cruising, what led him to become a travel agent and create The Cruising Bears Voyages, why he loves…
And I think one of the things that clicked for me, I think one of the biggest reasons it did was it gives you so much in one vacation.
You're not just going to one place, just getting a chance to see multiple destinations.
sometimes multiple countries.
And you're not having to pack up, unpack, rent a car, get on another flight, change hotels, deal with all that every few days.
You're unpacked once, the ship becomes your home base.
You're out seeing different ports and different places.
You always come back to the ship.
The ship itself is actually part of your vacation.
There's food and there's bars and there's entertainment and music and You know, the shows and the game shows and there's all kinds of pools and hot tubs and casinos and the comedy clubs.
You know, there are quiet places to sit and relax and there are places to just people watch and there are places to do absolutely nothing.
And some of the newer ships, it's even crazier than that, right? Because you get those huge water parks and ropes courses and some have go-karts and roller coasters.
The atriums are just giant.
You know, they have the aqua shows and ice shows and All these different spaces that give every ship kind of its own personality, especially ship classes, their own personality.
And that's why I think people who've never really cruised before don't understand.
The ship isn't just how you get to the vacation.
The ship is part of the vacation.
And depending on the ship, sometimes the ship is the whole vacation.
That's one of the things that got me hooked.
I love being able to wake up in different places, you know, and go explore, you know, see something new and then come back to this floating resort where everything is still right there.
You have your room and your food, you have your stuff.
You have your people if you're going with a big group or just going with the love of your life or your best friend or whatever you're doing.
You have your routine if you want one, but you can do something different every single day.
And yeah, there are trade-offs.
You are limited in how much time you have at Eastport.
