Do you realize how radical of a notion this would be? In that day and age, the Romans declared, Caesar is Lord.

But the Christians took that slogan and mantra and reframed it by saying, Jesus is Lord, not Caesar.

And now that revolutionary message of the gospel has penetrated its way all the way to Caesar's household where they are sending greetings.

And it kind of reminds me, it seems like there are often people in places that we never thought existed.

But here we see Caesar's household being changed, which means none of us are beyond.

Let's keep believing that anyone and everyone can have a deeper walk with the Lord, and God might want to use you to help in that endeavor as well.

But as I wrap up the series on Philippians, when we look back at its context, we know the Philippians were Some of the most joyous Christians there were.

This is Paul's happiest letter of the 13 New Testament letters that he writes from Romans down to Philemon.

What set this church apart? What made them different from the other New Testament churches? Paul highlights something really significant here in verse 15.

At this point in Paul's ministry, his work was funded through his own kind of personal tent making.

It wouldn't have been cheap to travel 25,000 miles by land, by sea, to eat all those things.

And this church even helped to fund probably the cost that he would have needed to accrue for his imprisonment during this time as well.
