Let's just give like a really high level overview of TCM, traditional Chinese medicine.

And I always like to clarify this before I step into the world of Chinese medicine, because traditionally, Chinese medicine is so much more than what you see as TCM or traditional Chinese medicine today.

During the Cultural Revolution, they decided to make Chinese medicine a lot more aligned with Western medicine.

So they changed the way that you view pattern diagnosis to align with more of the anatomical structures and how it connects better with Western medicine so it could bridge the gap between the two, which I absolutely adore because I think that there is a space where Eastern and Western medicine can align.

The thing is, kind of like what you were mentioning earlier to me about the different styles of acupuncture that you've done, for example, esoteric acupuncture, that's not something that's considered part of TCM because there's this other realm of energy that you're kind of like tapping into because we understood previous to the cultural revolution that there's so much more than just energy in our bodies.

Astrologically, there's certain days, certain seasons where you're supposed to do different styles of treatments.

So I felt like for me, My studies really improved when I started digging into more actual classical Chinese medicine, which included more spiritual alignment, let's say, and a lot more about how energy is more than just what we have inside our bodies.

Chinese medicine really views the body on the level of the mind, the body, and the spirit.

So when you think about the mind, I like to think of it as your cognitive ability.

So are you able to form thoughts coherently? Are you able to think without ruminating? Are you able to have good memory? Do you have brain fog? Do you have mental clarity? Do things kind of feel like they stumble away from you? So that's like the clarity aspect, the ability to kind of like form your smarts, let's say.

Then there's the level of the body, right? Everybody thinks on the level of the body.

Do you have aches and pains? Do you have imbalances in the body? Do you have digestive upset? Is your liver functioning well? Is your detoxing ability sound? Do you pee? Do you...
