Adam JohnsonHostHow do you deal with, um, one of the things that comes up a lot when we talk to people about struggles in their bands is, um, the whole world of, let's call it assumptions.

And there's a concept called an emotional bank account, and everyone has them with everyone we are interdependent with.

And, you know, what we want to do is listen to people to find out what's important to them so that we make deposits into that account.

And that when we have to make a withdrawal, whenever we do, we're intentional about it.

But the bank account is high enough where we don't get into this explosion thing.

So an example, our lead guitar player, I think he's brought maybe four songs that he wants to do.

I've told him, because I also believe in being open and honest, it's much harder for me to learn a song that I don't know.

I have to listen to the song for a kind of hours and just get the feel of it and everything.

So I'm like, we can do these songs, but it's going to be a lot different than me saying, hey, let's go do Take the Money and Run or Small Town by John Mellon.
