And initially, I had no intention on staying in Winston-Salem.

I had a lot of connections in Wake County, Durham, Raleigh area from high school and college and was ultimately looking to make that transition to move and explore work in those areas.

And Once that full-time permanent position became offered, it was just something I couldn't pass up at the time.

So somewhere I didn't intend to stay, much past a temporary position, I ended up staying for the next eight years.

And I got great stories from, like you said, all three of those guys, just some of the conversations that we would have.

Jabari being a guy from Memphis, like myself, I spent time in Durham, North Carolina, lived there for four years, where Jalen Wright was from.

And then just the whole journey of recruiting Dylan Sampson, that's an experience in itself.

So those are great memories, great relationships that were built over time.

But I don't necessarily want a police officer.

We went to Durham, North Carolina, myself, the mayor's chief of staff, and a bunch of our staff to study their heart model.

And what they did is they have three branches of safety.

They have police, fire and EMS, and a crisis response team.
