What if the greatest threat to your marriage isn't the argument you're having, but the offense you refuse to release? In this powerful episode of the Covenant Army Marriage Podcast, Brent and Lucy…
When people hear this word demonic, a lot of times they think about something really dramatic like a movie, right? Sometimes maybe delivering sessions.
Dramatic manifestations, if you will.
They don't really think that any demonic anything would possibly be happening in their own heart.
No, definitely not.
I mean, that's something that I don't think is in front of mind, and I think it's something that can be... off the radar, if you will.
And I think that's exactly why these doorways stay hidden so well for so long, you know, because nobody's casting out what's actually happening.
Like if you don't see it, you're not going to want to cast it out.
You're not going to, well, you're not going to know to, you won't want to.
I mean, because how are you going to cast out something you're not aware of? You know, many times we're just thinking, oh, I'm hurt, you know, and I have a right to be hurt.
Like that's something you hurt me and I have the right to be hurt.
And what they start to believe is that they do have the right for the pain that they're having.
You know what I mean? Like the pain I'm having, it makes sense.
You caused it.
And this is the pain that I'm in because, I mean, many times the offense is very real, right? We say something to our spouse that hurts them, and there's a pain and suffering there.
But the pain and unforgiveness, now that's two different things.
So let's talk more about
that.
Like make that distinction a little bit more clear.
Well, I want to because I think a lot of people are going to start getting defensive right now, especially when you talk about forgiveness and unforgiveness.
We hear all the time, you know, all these off-the-wall things.
Well, yeah, but you don't know.
And how am I supposed to forgive this and forgive that? It just doesn't make sense.
Well, make the distinction between pain and unforgiveness because they are very different things.
Because pain is what happens to you.
