So today's episode is the weather changes you.
And I say that not just because I have an autoimmune disease or chronic pain, but the weather changes everyone.
Have you ever been so hot that you got angry, irritable, didn't want to talk to nobody until you cooled down? You don't even want nobody touching your skin.
Now, if that can happen to you regularly, Imagine the people that have lupus, sickle cell, any type of autoimmune disease or chronic pain that not only does the weather change their mood, but the weather changes their body.
Like it physically hurts them.
It's hard to imagine because you only deal with the emotional side of being hot or cold.
And we deal with more than just the emotional side of being hot and cold.
We deal with the physical pain.
We deal with the crippling pain.
We deal with the low energy.
It comes with a lot when the weather changes.
Whether it's too hot, too cold, rainy.
whether that looks beautiful to the average person, like the rain, the rain is so beautiful, isn't it? You know, some people love to watch the rain, but it's like, when it hurts you, it's hard to watch the rain.
Like I'm watching the motherfucker that's hurting me.
No, I don't want to, you know, maybe when I was a child, I used to like to watch the rain.
But now as I'm older and the more that it hurts me, I'm like, in real life, rain, rain, go away.
Don't come back another day.
But I know it needs to come back.
I know that we need it.
So that's why I don't be like, don't come another day.
But when you deal with pain from the weather...
It's not easy to celebrate it like everybody else.
It's not easy to appreciate it like everybody else.
So do we lose our appreciation for the weather? Do we lose our appreciation for the beauty that comes with it and after it? No.
We just lose the appreciation of it when it's happening.
