The episode today is called Read the Room.
And I was telling you guys yesterday that we need to talk about this because some people just genuinely just don't know how to read the room.
They act as if they know what's going on.
Thank you.
I love you.
They act as if they know what's going on.
And then...
when they offend someone or when something goes wrong, they looking around like, what happened? But they forgot to read the room.
You never know what someone is going through.
You never know what a situation, what type of situation is happening right before your eyes.
You ever walked into a situation and it was so tense, you was like, oh my gosh, like, why did I decide to come now? But you realized immediately, why did I decide to come now? And you turn around and you left because you read the room.
You didn't want to overstay your welcome because you seen something tense was going on.
And obviously because they got quiet when you came in the room, but the tension was still there.
You read the room and you understood.
Now is not the time to be here with you guys.
Now is not the time to be in your presence.
Just like you may not know exactly what your coworkers are going through, or you may not know exactly what a roommate is going through, a classmate is going through.
But if you pay attention to not just vibes, I know, if you pay attention to to the way people move, the way people act, and the way people are talking, and the way they are engaging with other people, then you'll realize, okay, they don't like that.
Or, okay, they like that.
That made them very happy.
Like, not that you're just, like, stalking people and watching people.
But it is good to people watch.
It is good to learn exactly what people around you are going through by viewing their reaction, their emotions, how they are interacting with other people.
Pay attention.
then it wouldn't be so hard to read the room, no matter how long it took for you to get inside the same room as the room that needs to be read.
