You can find time for a clinical course, a team meeting and another conversation with your accountant. But when it comes to your own health, there never seems to be a spare hour. In this episode of…
George VernonGuestChrisHostAnd is it possible for you to almost create an avatar of a typical dental client? In other words, if we were going to do a survey of all of your clients in terms of age, in terms of gender profile, the type of work they're doing, is it like a bell curve? And is there a place at the top of the bell curve where there's a type of dentist who turns up in your world more often than others? Yeah.

Yeah, so typically between the age of 38 to 55, they usually want to lose more than 10 kilograms.

normally more than 10 kilograms, and they don't just want to lose that weight, but they want to keep it off.

They want to fix their health at the root, and they want that to really shine through to the work they're doing in business and the energy levels that they have when they finish business as well.

It's how present people are when they come home with their families, much as it is selling in business too.
All right.
What's the gender split in the client base?

I just think, obviously, the boxing, the marketing, it's just what resonates with people.

But, yeah, I definitely work with a lot of women as well and have done over the years.
Yeah.
And the first thing that comes to mind, I mean, you know, I have worked with trainers and I've been through the same peaks and troughs in terms of personal fitness over the years.
And of course, one of the things that I know about my client base, my world has been the dental world for over three decades now.
and what they will consistently share with you not just in terms of the homework that I give them but presumably in terms of the homework that you give them as well which is that I've got no bloody time because I'm running around with my metaphorical hair on fire I'm trying to be a dentist and particularly of course if I'm a practice owner I should have asked you the split between practice owners and associates perhaps we can come back to that in a minute But particularly if they are practice owners, I am required to be a dentist.
I am required to be a finance manager.
I am required to be a marketing expert.
I am required to understand the patient journey and hospitality.
I am required to learn about digital workflow as fast as it's developing within the industry.
And oh, by the way, I've got to become an employment law expert as well.
And then George turns up with his program.
