This morning I saw my beloved Jesus for just a little and he seemed to be holding a written paper in his hands.

One who wants to find the fount of all pleasures, which is Psalm 36 verses nine to 10. one must move away from all that may displease the Lord.

So this is just a reminder of what we've been told over and over again since Volume 1, that if we want God, you've got to make room for him and get rid of everything else.
Now we'll listen to Father Dave.

Seemingly, the religion of many people in the United States is in reality hedonism.

Now, it's not for us to judge other people, but when the pursuit of pleasure is the most important thing to individuals, they'll go out of their way to gain more and more pleasure of various types.

So this emphasis on this very short passage is the Lord making it clear to us that we need to deny ourselves of some of the pleasures that we could become accustomed to gaining all the time.

So in other words, to take the food that was not the favorites, little mortifications, and especially if nobody else is aware that they're being exercised, demonstrate to the Lord that we want to grow closer and closer to him.

And especially to be deliberate about uprooting anything that we know would displease him.
