Our Home Invasion Story: Lessons From a Scary Night🔥

Everybody's been asking me about what happened and while we were away.

And I just felt like it was important to just let everybody know what really went down, if it can help one person or at least just give you an understanding of what went down.

I thought this might be the best place to do it, because, of course, online, it's just especially on Instagram and stuff, it's just too hard to tell the whole story.

And yes, am I nervous about feedback and about, you know, people making comments and things? Because, again, you are on social media.

Obviously, you know, we promote maximalism.

I obviously wear a lot of jewelry.

You know, people constantly tell us to be careful.

And I want you to know that we are.

It's not that we are not careful.

We actually did have as many barriers up as you can imagine.

And shit still happened.

You guys know we've been away.

We've been traveling.

And, you know, living in L.A., you hear all the stories.

Four years ago, we were on our way to football with Sawyer.

It was around 4 in the afternoon, and we got a call while we were at football.

My incredible housekeeper, who comes just once a week, called me screaming, saying that people were trying to break in.

She was hysterical.

I screamed for John.

He took off in the car, went straight home.

And bottom line, we got very lucky that time because when they actually— jumped our walls and climbed up to my balcony.

My housekeeper was literally about to leave and she walked up the steps and happened to land on the landing the second they were landing on my balcony.

So they actually looked at each other and luckily she screamed and they ran off.

So we were very lucky in that moment that nothing worse happened because Finn would have been home alone.

So we were super, super grateful, but obviously makes you very aware.
