ladies I'm entering and preparing myself for the empty nest and this week was the first time I really felt it so many of us are going through this and there's just no rule book you just don't know how you're gonna feel until you're in it and this is something I started talking about when I first started Instagram and I started the coffee talks I had little kids at the time but I I had some friends who were starting to have high school kids and entering that empty nest and realizing what a complicated like landmine of emotions.

And then you wonder why there are so many women feeling bored, feeling alone, feeling like they have no direction.

feeling like there's nothing left for them, because at the end of the day, you are basically leaving an 18-year management role and having to start a new career, if you really think about it, right? And John and I were actually talking about it last night, and we were like, it's like you're starting a new job.

And a new career and you don't really know what you're doing and you kind of have to fake it till you make it.

And I literally thought to myself last night, I teared up and I was like, I am so grateful.

that I had an epiphany, that I did look in the mirror that day, that changed everything for me.

And that I started betting on myself, that I started taking care of myself, that I started thinking about the future and understanding that there were gonna be a lot of years left if I was lucky.

And what was I gonna do with them? Because I saw myself, I was completely obsessed with motherhood.

It's like growing up, My parents, and listen, love them to death, but they were not helicopter parents in any way.
