And a fluid career is one where you essentially have a an access pass into different worlds.

You might be working across projects and industries, trying on different identities in these different places, working with different people, bringing in different income sources.

times 1.5 speed, right, on hyperspeed, because we are at this really ahistorical moment where we're seeing how job numbers are fluctuating, we're seeing layoffs, and we're not really sure what is going to be valued in this AI era.

But this AI disruption is really already happening and will continue to shake things up.

And most of us are somewhere between anxious or maybe in denial, like ostrich head in the sand style about what this all means for how we work.

So during these shaky times, my argument in the Fluid Career book, my forthcoming book, is that people who are more diversified, who are more distributed, more adaptably in motion, and more multi-hyphenate, they might just be the ones best positioned for this moment of seismic change.

I haven't spent the past seven episodes making the same argument in seven different ways.

I have given you guidance on not just the why this is important and why the fluid career is a powerful choice in this moment, but I've told you the how.

how to run this kind of a dynamic career, because it sounds really great in theory, but I've seen it intimately in my coaching sessions and from my own life that it's challenging.

And so we need different practices, frameworks, systems, and tactics to help us make this kind of career actually feel like the gift that it can be instead of some kind of curse.

So I've mapped this season of episodes to different chapters of my book, The Fluid Career, which I plan to release on September 15th.

The podcast really lets me share the high-level concepts, some client stories, and snippets of different conversations with people that I've had who have fluid careers, but the book gets much more applied.

I'm going to give you exercises and prompts, frameworks, and more case studies to really illuminate how these concepts map to your situation.

You can actually work through this yourself and create custom structure that doesn't work for everybody else because you have a unique way of running a fluid career.

So if you've been listening throughout the season and finding yourself wanting to pause and actually do some of the work instead of just thinking about the concepts, the Fluid Career book can be that guide for you.
