I'm Kim Kelp, and every week you and I sit down with fascinating, smart, and talented leaders, CEOs, and founders so that we can copy their homework.

If someone knows how to do something really well, I want to know what it is and exactly how they're doing it.

Get ready for aha moments, gems of wisdom and little known tips and tricks that we can steal and use in our own lives.

If you want to join these conversations and ask these experts your own questions, no point in just me having all the fun.

I feel like it's been a little mixy here in the US because we had a holiday on Monday.

If you're joining us live, I would love for you to lean forward and type in the comments.

You'll see that Jim and Giacomo and Jeff and Molly and I were already chatting and already just sharing as much as we can as tips and tricks that make this experience so much different than sort of your average podcast.

But if you couldn't join us live and you're listening on your favorite podcast platform while you walk the dog or fold the laundry or do the dishes, never fear.

commented on or helped with by myself or Aaron, because we want you to be part of this conversation as well.

Because today's conversation is one that I think is so juicy and one that continues to come up over and over again, I think both in the corporate side of the world in terms of like what kind of salary should I be looking for? How do I value myself? What do I bring to the table? And also obviously in the independent contractor and entrepreneurial space of how do I price my services? If I consider myself a high-end freelancer, what does that actually mean? And I think these sort of self-worth slash money questions can, can always be really difficult both because money is sometimes sort of a weird and awkward subject to talk about.

And then also our self-worth sometimes can come into question as well, because you know, We're humble people, but we do some extraordinary things.

So I always look to get... know additional information in this subject and something that i myself you know i'm constantly having to kind of revisit and look into and so as the algorithm does i get fed a lot of aaron's content hopefully you did some google stalking of aaron the good kind not like her address don't go to creepy categories but just you know the good type of google stalking so all about Erin and the company that she runs and founded called The Upside, where she's really just spent a decade since she started the company helping tens of thousands of professionals really take all that experience and all that expertise that they've built in their careers and their life experiences and turn that into independent businesses and what that actually looks like to get paid for what you know and what you've experienced.

And so whether you already have your own business or you're consulting on the side, or maybe you've actually just been toying with the idea and that's why you decided to give this a listen or join us today because you're kind of like, Erin says that, you know, I could maybe make some money off of what I know.

there's going to be something in here for you today, a nugget, something to ponder, maybe a little homework assignment to really dig into and think about because Erin is just incredibly practical when it comes to pricing and positioning and getting clients and figuring out what the heck you're even selling.

And she has the data and the experience to really back it up because she has worked so extensively in this field for the last,
