EP13: Speed Dating & Wonky Wrists

Welcome back to Class or Pass, the podcast where comedian Emer Maguire decides what in modern life is class… and what is an absolute pass. Big changes this week: we've been flooded out of our usual studio (RIP, water-damaged walls) so we've packed up and set up shop in Hive Co-Working in Strabane — which means, for the very first time, Camera Samera is actually ON camera. In this episode we tackle some very important societal questions: 💘 Speed dating — a charming, efficient way to meet your future spouse in four minutes… or a nightmare? 🎥 Camera Samera stepping out from behind the lens — a glow-up for the show… or should we blur her face and give her a voice changer?? 💉 Emer getting steroid injections into both carpal-tunnelled wrists — brave, suffering musician… or the world's biggest drama queen? 📞 We also hear from listeners with their own speed-dating tales — including Kim's introverted hard no, Ciara getting drink-shamed and called a "fat slob" by a tiny little man, and Sinead, who met her husband at a Belfast speed-dating night and is now married with two kids and a forever home. Plus the man who once told Sam she had "horsey features"… and genuinely tried to pass it off as a compliment. Expect strong opinions, questionable logic, and the occasional rant.
