Another Packed House?

Then Friday night, the full band played up at Froggy's in Monroe, which is, if you're not from this area, it's kind of up north of Cincinnati, up towards Trader's World and Miami Valley Gaming and the Outlet Malls.

We played there 8 p.m. to midnight.

Four-hour gig.

Not a big fan of the four-hour gigs.

I really liked it there.

I would definitely take more gigs there.

I think it was worth it financially.

I think loading wasn't too bad.

It's a nice stage, nice lighting setup.

You got to bring your own PA.

Stage was pretty messy when we got there.

I had to move some stuff out of the way and didn't really get greeted by anybody there or anything.

But The bartenders were super nice.

They were super complimentary at the end of the night.

They took good care of us and would love to go back there again.

I have a message into the booking person about that.

Here's the thing.

With booking gigs, it comes down to tenacity and really being willing to stay on top of that if you're wanting to get a gig somewhere.

I get so many messages.

from people saying, hey, who does the booking here? I mean, I got them today.

Who does the booking here? How do I get a gig here? What do I do? This, that, and the other thing.

All legit questions.

And I will tell you that I have not had much success asking other musicians how to get in places.

Contrary to that, I rarely get into a place when I ask for help from another musician.

Not sure why.
