Chanter and Banter! S2 Ep1 - Competitive Vs Performance.

And for this, we're going to go over to local correspondent, Kay, who was today out on a field.

Kay, what did you hear today?

Yeah, I had a pretty good day.

Me and the family went through to Mark Inch for the Mark Inch Highland Games, helped support my band who was competing as well.

Unfortunately there was only one grade band, one band on the agenda and they didn't show up.

Quite a few bands didn't show up actually.

But then you've got Ireland next week, and then Girvan was on today as well, so I suppose it's about prioritising what competition is more important for your band.

But yeah, we got a really good result.

Kokodian District won at Grade 4.

Grade 4A to be exact.

Enter big rab show style sound effect of clapping.

Precisely.

Burnt Island done really good as well.

Burnt Island won quite a few awards, including Grade 2.

Do we know who won grade three? Were you listening or were you too drunk?

Yeah.

Oh my god, do you know what? We can actually ask the question.

How long was the line at the beer tent?

There wasn't a fucking beer tent.

What? There was a tent? That's against the law.

There was a chieftain's tent, but there wasn't a beer tent.

That is illegal.

How dare they?

Shocking.

Get your act together.
