As someone that was always made to watch the military tattoo growing up by my father, are we going to see that kind of area utilised?

Yes, we've just completed our contractual negotiations with the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo and delighted to say that they're going to do a one night only bespoke tattoo for the team presentation.

So something that the Tour de France will have never seen.

The riders will ride up the Royal Mile from Holyrood Palace.

We've, we've, we've put a lot of effort into making sure uniforms are, are immaculate because people in Edinburgh Tattoo, it's a spectacle, isn't it? Like-

Well, we are, we are military pipes and drums.

Uh, but we recruit civilians and ex-serving.

So people who have left the military really enjoy coming to this 'cause they still get to do Edinburgh Tattoos and go abroad and do loads of amazing ceremonial events.

It was incredible.

And then there was another occasion at the Edinburgh Military Tattoo, which I think still exists today.

I was going to breakfast, and I just happened to sit across from what's called a Gurkha soldier.

And then they march further up.

They can't get up to the castle at the moment because remember the Edinburgh Tattoo, the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo that was happening in August? Well, such is the size of that operation that the stands are still coming down.

So you can't get up onto the Esplanade itself.

But they took a little left down onto Kingstables Road and finished up the parade there.

We got to squadron, done the course, and then it's just...

You're either on public duties, you're on other training jobs around the UK, Edinburgh Tattoo, repatriations.

There's loads of stuff that comes.

It's all ceremonial though.
