In this episode of CEOs & ABCs, Kevin sits down with Matt Eisenacher, Chief Brand Officer at First Watch, to explore what it actually takes to become a leader of leaders and why the hardest part isn't…
Matt EisenacherGuestKevin RiceHostWell, now you've been at Firstwatch for, I think, about seven years? You mentioned the first year was pretty hard.
When you step into that next level of a leadership role, it really requires you to change how you carry yourself and how you approach the role of being a leader and not just like working harder.
How are you a different leader today than you were kind of on day one at First Watch?

It's a really, really good question because I would view myself as very different.

And I have had to accommodate, you know, my role and my leadership style differently.

Like when I first joined, we were in a place where we were kind of building the traditional marketing function.

And when I came here, there were some tendencies of that where they're kind of the same, where, you know, you're wearing multiple hats and you're, you got, again, your fingers in the dirt, you're doing a lot of the stuff.

And I feel super blessed because, that a lot of those people we brought on the team are still with us.

We have really, really great tenure here at Firstwatch and on our team as well.
