CTL in the Wild

But in the meantime, we do get to be in the wild together very soon at the Great Lakes Unity Conference.

It's true.

So we're going to be together.

That's right.

We are going to be together anyway.

We're going to be

in the same city at the same time with a purpose because we are doing a session together at the conference.

This is So I'm going to brag about my state for a little bit.

So the non-public schools in Michigan are amazing because we are connected through MANS or the Michigan Association of Non-Public Schools, which has always been really strong.

So great at advocating for... all the, you know, all the faith-based schools in Michigan.

And so this year, we used to call it the Man's Conference, but now we're calling it the Great Lakes Unity Conference so that we can connect with all of our Christian school friends and Lutheran school friends even more robustly.

And so the conference jumps around different years into different cities.

So this is Grand Rapids during, so they're on my home turf, which meant I got to be on the committee.

And That helped plan the PD for the conference, which sessions are yeses and nos and all that.

And I promise I didn't, I wasn't even allowed to rate hours, Colleen.

So I didn't get to touch that we put a proposal in.

But the other people on the committee said, sure, you guys should do a session.

So we get to do a session like a podcast live.

The conference is October 15th and 16th.

But I'm getting memories, great memories of when we were in season one of the podcast, Loyola Press was sponsoring us.

And so when I got to the conference and I went to the Loyola Press's booth and just started hanging out and letting people know that I was one of the podcasters for the Catholic Teachers Lounge podcast.

Colleen, I think like half of season one, like from that moment forward, was just ideas coming from all kinds of schools in Michigan, including the Lutheran schools.

So it was really fun.

to gather ideas from the Upper Peninsula and other parts of the state.

So people I didn't know outside of my diocese, my home diocese of Grand Rapids.
