Still kinda tough fishing wise in some regards but I spoke with Kara Eakes from Red Drum Tackle Shop in Buxton and she shared some good fishing news with me. I'll share that with you in this report.
why go anywhere else? All right, so it doesn't need to be mentioned that the offshore fleets and nearshore fleets haven't been out in the better part of a week.
And as predicted, they've been pretty good on the forecast with this storm, and they've been calling it like it is.
And today, later in the day, and last night, even on my back porch, I was watching the deer and the wind was getting back.
Anyway, I'm on the western side of the Pamlico Sound on what they call the interbanks.
So just nothing to report on offshore or nearshore, and we're getting late in the season for both fleets at Hatteras and Oregon Inlet, but there will still be some fine king mackerel fishing in Hatteras and some great tuna fishing to be had yet for a good while, all the way up until Thanksgiving in both fleets.
And we saw a really great wahoo bite going on, and maybe those will still be around.
The Mahi moving out of the area, pretty much, but there'll still be some of the last ones there.
