The wind is still blowing, and probably will for another day or so. We do have a few things to talk about though, believe it or not. I'll also tell you something that you'll want to remember that was…
So obviously offshore and nearshore fishing is non-existent for the last several days.
We do know that tuna fishing was good and tuna fishing should still be good when the sea finally does fall out.
And I do always remember something that Captain John Bayless taught me one time is when you get these northeasters, the way our beach is steep, the way it drops off quickly, it doesn't take long for a northeaster to build up a sea.
So when you go to hunting camp, me and John would go to hunting camp, and we'd say, we'll never go fishing for five days.
And John would always say, when the wind falls out on a Northeaster, it doesn't take long for the sea to diminish.
on day three and just getting settled into some good deer hunting and he said i think we need to get back to the beach i'm like are you crazy we just got here we're hunting we're deer hunting relax he said no because it doesn't take long for the wind to fall out and that evening in the deer stand i looked up in the trees and they were just barely swaying back and forth and we were supposed to stay in camp another day or two having a great time and he said we got to go back And we drove back that night.
4.30 the next morning, we were down in Oregon Hill putting ice and Ballyhoo on board.
So in this weather system we have right now, when the wind diminishes, it will not take long for the sea to fall out on this particular wind, which is the northeast wind.
So good right in the middle, right in the heart of tuna season, both black fins and yellow fins.
over in hyde county where i live and i was deer hunting i thought oh man the wind fell out a little yesterday it'll fall out a little more i told all my friends come on we better go deer hunting uh the wind's gonna fall out around dark well the only thing that fell out around dark was a couple of sycamore trees from the wind that was blowing and it was just not not a good idea we put our time in we didn't see anything um but we went so we get a for effort But it's just really, even the surf fishermen, the drum bite, there's been a few people can find a little lead somewhere and catching a few drum.
and it's just not much for me to waste my time or yours talking about what is biting because there ain't much.
