Capt. Marty's Other Side of Fishing, Episode 19

All right.

We're back with the other side of fishing with Captain Marty.

And Captain, I mean, Brenda, Brenda gave us a lot of good information, you know, in regards to some of the fishing that's been taking place around here, the shrimping season.

Give us a little bit, little bit to think about when we get ready to order lunch in a few moments from The Landing Grill.

But, uh, Marty, you know, one thing that we've already experienced once this fall ... is a nor'east blow.

I mean, it took out part of Highway 12 down there by the Pea Island Visitor Center, you know? Um, if things go the way they're looking to go, we, we might be in line for another one this upcoming weekend.

But that doesn't, and as, as horrible as this may sound, it doesn't necessarily mean all bad things.

I mean, deer season's coming up, right?

Yeah.

Like, what, what-

Well, Saturday-

Talk to, talk to me

... is opening day of deer season in eastern North Carolina.

Okay.

And it's been 80, 90 degrees every day for muzzle loading season-

Uh-huh

... which, which winds up com- uh, winds up-

Yeah, soon

... today-

Uh-huh

... actually.

Um, so everybody's really excited.

What should be an epic first day, because it's gonna shift around daylight and then raise up, and temperatures are gonna drop 25 degrees.

So that's great for deer hunting.

As far as over here on the beach and the, uh, whatnot, there is going to be, uh, I've heard 25 knots.
