What we really want to talk to you a little bit about is the basics, right? Before you're ready to start dating or even if you started dating, write some information about the process.

How would you get ready? How would your child get ready? How could you help your child to get ready to date? What are things that you should work on? So I like to start with the trifecta, right there's the emotional component, there's the financial component, There's the Hashkafic perspective, right? So the emotional component, right? Are you ready to date? Have you worked on yourself? Do you know your strengths? Do you know your limitations? As we all know, dating and marriage does not fix things.

As a matter of fact, if you go into it thinking, oh, it's going to fix something.

So we always say if you have a problem with low self-esteem or anxiety, these are things that you should work on before you start dating.

Some people are dating and they are self-sufficient, whether they're an entrepreneur or a CPA or a teacher, and they know that they're going to take care of themselves.

But if they're looking for financial assistance from their parents, so then it's not something that children can demand from parents.

From a Hashkafe perspective, right? Hashkafe is not, do you daven three times a day? Does he daven three times a day? A Hashkafe is about values.

What matters to you? What is your framework? It's not just about what you want, right? Become self aware, know your strengths.

What are you bringing to this relationship? We met a guy, and he's a great guy, but doesn't always put on tefillin, doesn't always daven.

And he told me, not a discussion, he needs a girl who's going to be tzanuwa, who's going to cover her hair.

And we had to kindly say, do you think that type of girl is looking for someone with your level of frumkeit? right? So, and he sort of was like, hmm, but that's what I want, right? So there's a question of, is that what I want, but what am I bringing to the table? So it's important for everyone to become self-aware, right? What are our strengths? What am I bringing to the relationship? Marriage is about finding someone who helps you be your best self.

So when you're on this, when your child is on the state, you need to ask them, not all kinds of Questions that are going to make them nervous.

But how do you feel when you're with this person? Do you feel like you are your best self? They bring out the best in you.

You could be the right person at 20, and the right person at 21, and the right person at 22.

But let's all recognize that we all know we're in a shul, the Aaron Kodesh is right behind us.
